A Life In Words
Looking back on my freshman year and the required English 101 course I took in the
Wren Building (pictured below) - it may as well have been called “Life 101.”
Little did I know, at the time, that this class and this college had set my life on a course of amazing,
possibility, equiping me with the “life tools and knowledge” to create whatever life I chose.
It is with a grateful heart that I express my profound gratitude to the generations of citizens
who hace joined hands in creating one of America’s great institutions... The College of William and Mary.
"Poetry is rhythmical creation
of beauty in words."
- Edgar Allan Poe
"Painting is poetry that is seen
rather than felt, and poetry is
painting that is felt rather than seen"
- Leonardo da Vinci
"It was at that (my) age, that poetry came in search of me"
- Pablo Neruda
"Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life"
- Mary Oliver
